Little known fact: Chicken won sole ownership of the site playing the biker knife game with the Winklevoss twins. His mangled hands have the appearance of chicken feet, thus giving rise to the Chicken sobriquet.

The idea was conceived right before we graduated. At first it was supposed to be a way for our group of friends to stay in touch. It grew from there.

My initial $2,000 investment to help start TD has yielded me a ton of money. Beyond my wildest dreams! Thanks everyone for the support

I bet it's something like this that led to it.

One of the first message boards that grew somewhat early on was the TigerRoar. The guy who ran that was a nimrod and Chicken probably saw a great thing that could happen and ran with droppings.

In the beginning there was Kafka, and the word was Kafka.

Tiger Roar was great in its heyday. We used to troll the shite out of it with all kinds of outlandish rumors...lol. Then the guy made it subscription based and that was that.

And Scott and the Evil Twins were too dumb to realize the trolling.

I stuck around for a while after that. I dropped off when it got to $48 a year. That was too rich for my blood.

There was a third site called Tiger Forums. I think it's defunct now. They started up a poliboard when TR became a pay site. There was an idiot poster using the handle Tom (not the same person as our Tom). He ended up getting banned in early 2003. Big mistake since his idiocy drew a lot of traffic.

After being let go from Tyson Foods, he became a free-roaming chicken entrepreneur. And the rest is history.

Some of these cats were on Tigerroar.com. They had a difference of opinion with the site owner about what could be posted. Babe pics for example. Other stuff. They were kicked off so they decided to start up their own free site, a big FU to Tigerroar as it had gone to being a pay site.

The entire concept was stolen from his Indian neighbor Kalunda (Not his real name.)

I dont know crap about how it started but I do remember how I heard about it.

Some game weekend, I think in the early 2000's, somebody hung a sheet on the I-10 overpass over Dalrymple. The sheet said "Tigerdroppings". I remember at the time thinking WTF is a Tigerdropping.

I waited till after the weekend when I got back to Shreveport to ask jeeves what tigerdroppings was on my Gateway desktop. My flip phone didnt have internet.
