That Tribune article doesn't say he was involved in a shooting.

I will admit, when I first watched that video and saw this as he turned around, I thought it was a gun. And those friggin strobe lights are the worst.

I'm not saying I'm going to go out and start a riot. But for a cop to yell "show me your hands", and the suspect does exactly that, and he ends up dead anyways? I don't know how you defend that. Shooting someone with their hands up is indefensible imo.
I mean I'm sure the cop will use the defense that he thought the kid had a gun in his hand, but he will have to convince that to the jury.

the cop said "show me your fricking hands" and "drop it", the kid did exactly that, and got shot. At no point was the gun pointed towards the officer. This isn't difficult to understand.

Suspected of being involved in a shooting is more accurate. He did have a gun in the area a shooting occurred.
