They were bad. It was pretty much everything but Gin and Bourbon with a lot of Cherry juice. Fights usually broke out about 10:00 on Wednesday nights.

I just saw the post about this on FB. Someone said he had a pitcher of kamikazes there at age 16. lol. I can attest that I have reason to believe him.

Hell people sold to younger than that back then. Jr. High for sure. What is that? 13 or 14? Helps to be tall as well.

Chelsea St Pub in Cortana Mall

There was one in the Alexandria Mall as well. I have some fond memories of that place. I had no idea it was a chain. Sounds like every mall had one around the same time.

The Gordon is on 4th and became the Federal Bankruptcy Court at one time. The Paramount was bulldozed into a parking lot by philistines.. Where was the Hart?

Or the Larry K's Oyster Bar in Cortana and the infamous 1983 shooting between a regular and his waitress girlfriend.
She survived.

Karl didn’t shoot his girlfriend. He shot another waitress after getting into with her. His GF, Lisa, was also a waitress there. Karl is a piece of shite. The two LEOs that intervened should have killed him that day. Most folks don’t know but Karl wanted to die that day. He originally went into the theater with the intention of taking hostages and eventually dying by “suicide by cop”. He chickened out for some reason and went over to the restaurant where he got into it with Cindy and shot her.

Apparently, it was on Convention Street downtown between 3rd and Lafayette. I know I went in there 50+ years ago. Forgot where it was.

you're really old if you remember the theater in Cortana mall

My trash parents brought me to a late showing of Rambo at that theater when i was like 4 or 5.

I also remember before they extended that wing of the mall to add Mervyns.

What is it about old mall memories that sparks nostalgia so hard in everyone?
