Que?
I'm not an IVF expert, but aren't there many ways that can be eliminated? First of all, you don't need to fertilize any more eggs than you're going to need. I understand that may not be cost effective, but that isn't the point. Second, fertilized eggs can be donated for use by other women seeking IVF treatment.
I don't see how my stance invalidates any and all IVF like you suggested. There are parts of it that are contradictory, but they aren't necessary to the procedure and can be avoided.

More than 80% of abortions result from premarital sex.
Men having sex with their wives, and only their wives, would drastically reduce abortions.
You have some control over this in your own life.
Don't have premarital sex.
Don't have unprotected sex if you are not prepared for and actively trying to become a parent.
Preventing unplanned and unwanted pregnancies should be the focus.
No pregnancy = no abortion.
So, what's like? To go through life without ever making a mistake? Things must be pretty great, right? Champagne showers, never have to wait in line, big arse white horse to ride around on all the time. Must be awesome to be perfect. I bet if more people were like you we wouldn't even need to make choices based on our individual circumstances or beliefs.

She's a horrible comedian but wtf do you care?

This isn't realistic. In theory this would work great, no sex, no pregnancy, but when you have teenage males running around horny enough to hump a snake hole while teenage girls have peer pressure (and horny as well, but obviously male and females sexually peak at different times. Males during their teen years, females in their 30s).
Also, there are adults who decide they do not want to get married, that doesn't mean they shouldn't have sex, but I assume this would not apply to people who are responsible if they do get pregnant.

IVF is not a black and white thing though. Many religions actually support IVF, but yes...what happens to extra embryos is where some have issue.
I get what you are saying though. If you believe abortion is murder...than how is that any different than destroying unused embryos?
However...like the other poster said...you can freeze those embryos to be used later...either for the biological couple for a sibling later on, or if that round of IVF didn't work....or to donate to another couple to use. Couples going through IVF have to sign extensive paperwork detailing exactly what happens to extra embryos...including if the couple divorces or one of them dies.

Am I wrong? You're the one who suggested IVF is completely off the table if you're pro-life. Is it impossible to do without destroying fertilized eggs? I'm not asking if it is impractical, I'm asking if it is impossible.

I'm not a political animal but people who think of abortions as another form of birth control absolutely disgust me.

Yes. Very wrong.

Who can argue with that logic when you've so eloquently articulated your reasoning? I'll ask once again - is it possible to perform IVF without destroying unused fertilized eggs?

I'm against abortion, however, I realize that people are going to do it anyway, so they might as well have the proper facilities to do so. It won't be illegal, however, no federal funds will be provided to anyone or any institution to carry out said abortions. No funds, no way, no how, no exceptions.
Here's my idea. If you are on welfare, free abortions. After 1 kid on welfare? Mandatory spaying and neutering.

I don't even see why we get hung up on this, rape and incest.
It too often dominates the conversation, and it accounts for like 1% of abortions.
99% of abortions are birth control after the fact, which means of course, that they were entirely preventable with even moderate precautions
It's religious individuals that are typically against abortions. Ironically, the same people who fight birth control coverage on health insurance plans. Let them have the bc pills, and there wrote would be dramatically fewer abortions.
I'm against abortions, but am pro choice. I don't like ethics being regulated. God can punish them better than the legal system.

I'm not suggesting you're wrong, but there are many on the pro-life side who would take issue with that reasoning. They don't think abortion is an ethical issue any more than murder is an ethical issue, so the counterargument is that your logic would suggest "traditional" murderers should be left up to God as well. That is why the debate gets no where between the two sides, for the most part. The only hope is for either side to sway people in the middle.

No the doctors do a whole bunch of unnecessary work just for shits and giggles. They also have unlimited space and store unused embryos for all of eternity.

Ahh, so it can be done, but it just isn't the normal practice. If you can fertilize multiple eggs, you can fertilize one at a time as needed. Again, I'm not suggesting this is cost effective, but it is entirely possible.
IVF is possible without creating embryos that will go "unused". That is all that matters.
