I would support an economic war with China. Shooting? Only if invaded or attacked by their military.
It’s hard to imagine there will never be a nuclear war ever with so many countries that have nukes. And plenty of those countries are led by irrational people.

Link up with the Russians, India, Japan and SE Asia to constrict the Chinese in a trade blockade, slowly suffocating the Chinese economy. If they want war they would have a death wish.
To answer the war part, if it goes nuclear nobody wins. In a conventional war, I think America would dominate the seas, but actually landing troops in China would be hard unless Vietnam allowed US troops to come in, which I doubt they would given our history. So if we couldn’t get boots on the ground in China, I would suggest firebombing their cities into submission. I believe we have superior armed forces so we could sink them and knock them out of the sky, winning the war for America. End goal would be to shatter them into multiple states.

Honest question... China has 260 give or take nukes in thier arsenaland about 50-75 ICBMs. Do you think they would not resort to using them and just rely on conventional forces when our conventional forces would be kicking their arse?
