I think the response to this 'Rona thing has been way over the top in a lot of ways. I don't see the need to kill the American economy the way they have. But I'm also not dumb and if wearing a mask is required to protect the health of myself and others, it's not much more than a minor inconvenience.

It’s a virus that kills the elderly & the obese & those that have other health issues
I am not one of those people
I follow the rules of social distancing
I don’t go on public coughing or sneezing
I use self check out & do not speak to others in the store
I am not going home or caring for anyone who is elderly, obese or has health issues
There is no need for me to wear a mask

I'm good at both, thankfully.
I mentioned "self-protection". When writing my sentence, I chose to use "wear". Lots of people have guns in their homes for self-protection, too. So they'll own a gun that a kid or grandkid, or even a disgruntled wife, can get ahold of and kill themselves or others but, a fricking mask? In public? That's a bridge too far, apparently.
