Yes, and from what I can tell thousands of posts here fit in the same category.

We all opine, we all exchange ideas, but nothing we say or do really carries any weight; yet we all continue to do it because like you said below its healthy to kick things around and exchange ideas.

And I have tried to state my case based on not who the mayor is, but of how the system should be. I'm leery of Ms Broome and I clearly saw here agenda, who she has in her circle of advisers, and the danger she poses if she continues to divide.

If the truth be known I'd rather not have a police chief, and city police. I'd rather have the sheriff of EBR police the entire parish. The criminals do not know where the city limits are. They commit crimes wherever they choose so why have one set of cops chasing them in one part of the parish and another set chasing them in the rest of the parish?

I think it's not cost effective, but that's not going to change anytime soon either so we are stuck.

Agree 100% with you there.

BRPD
EBRSO
LSP-Troop A
City Constable
LSUPD
DPS
Weights & Measures
LDWF

I'm sure I'm leaving some LEO entities out. But all of these entities operate within EBRP proper. It's way beyond overkill. Granted some overlap (LSP, EBRSO, LDWF) will always exist on some level. But this is a bridge to nowhere type overlap.
