If you think Chase terminated their relationship simply because he asked for someone who speaks English as a first language then I don’t know what to tell you.

I know two people who banked at Chase that had their accounts suspended for no reason at all. In both cases, they acknowledged the mistake, but it was too late.

It means that I’m going to eschew the JP Morgan Chase’s and Morgan Stanley’s and go with a small company. I intend to avoid high fees, and invest mostly in ETFs, bonds or indexed funds. I also want to avoid companies who will use my money as a cudgel to force companies into woke policies.
The only reason I am going to use a money manager at all is because I need to manage losses to set against slugs of income and I will eventually need income from my investments. That’s just too difficult for me to manage on my own.

Say what you will but Chase is not woke. Jamie Dimon is a pretty moderate democrat and also worked with trump during his term. He fricked up opening his mouth about guns and said he wouldn’t do business with gun manufacturers. I think there was some pullback from some of his views but chase continues to grow. I sell guns and have accounts with chase. They not canceling your account because of gun purchase.

I can't fathom why anyone gets a mortgage loan with any giant bank. The service is always a clown show.

I just saw your post. I don’t understand the last part. Chase is definitely woke. They are beginning to experiment with de-banking people for being outspoken conservatives.
BTW, I did what I said I was going to do, and today I signed contracts to move my investment accounts from Chase to the boutique firm I mentioned. My private banker at Chase is on vacation, so I had to leave a voicemail (I made a courtesy call to inform him). I got a call back from his assistant asking that I wait until he gets back so he can discuss it. I’m not waiting, and when he calls I’m telling him that I’m firing them for canceling people who shared my political beliefs.
I know, so brave!

I don't think it's racist to ask for a customer service agent who's proficient in English. Hell, I don't even think it's racist to ask for a native speaker. OP would have been perfectly fine with a person of Indian descent, had that person been a speaker of English (as a first language).
It's really shitty to hire non-native speakers as customer service reps. I mean, verbal communication is the single most important skill for such a job, and it boggles my mind that anyone would sacrifice that for a few dollars.
Americans used to agree on that point. Bunch of fricking eunuchs setting the tone lately.
