Mahoning County Emergency Management Agency said the situation is fluid but under control after a natural gas explosion.
A loud boom was heard, followed by smoke in the area of Central Square. Witnesses told WYTV there was a strong smell of natural gas.
A representative for Enbridge Gas, Stephanie Moore, said a cause for the explosion was unknown as of Tuesday evening and that the Ohio State Fire Marshal’s office would be investigating. She said the company was alerted just before 3 p.m. to the incident.

I always wonder with stuff like this if it's an accident or if we're just clueless civilians in an Ocean's Eleven or Die Hard with a Vengeance style plan that's playing out without our knowledge and this is just one of the steps.
