Man I’m just sad right now… I hate everything about where society is right now. 2 young kids are without a dad who was murdered in a super public way and people are more worried about fricking political points then addressing the root cause of the issue. We’ve allowed ourselves to become so divided that half the fricking country think a guy sharing his beliefs publicly is justification for his killing. Shits sickening and we should all be taking a hard look in the mirror right now if any of this shite is worth it.

It’s fricking disgusting.

When you get offended at dissent, of course you think its agitation.

This is why you folks think we are "killing trans kids" by simply not agreeing with them.

Except conservative political violence is rare and universally condemned.

Liberal political violence is often and celebrated by most of the left and downplayed by the rest.

This is how you become the very thing you’re standing against in this thread. If you go this path, you lose the civility that is needed.

Civility is dead. His name was Charlie Kirk.

It's just the fact that he was always cordial, respectful, sat down while debating in order to present himself as non-threatening, and was willing to engage with people on the complete opposite end of the spectrum while telling them to have a good day or that he'd pray for them when they couldn't come to agreement in the end. He was about as nonconfrontational and polite as one could possibly be while engaging in debate. I could almost understand this happening with someone that purposely went out there and enflamed race, gender, trans, etc relations and trolled for reactions. He didn't do any of that and was kind to everyone he discussed issues with. Maybe it's the closeup video I wish I wouldn't have watched, maybe it's the young wife and family, maybe it's the fact he was so respectful to those he disagrees with, but this is really having an effect on me I can't fully explain

I think that the shooting, paired with the “he deserved it” comments is making a heck of a lot of people feel like millions of liberals think that they deserve it simply for being religious, or middle of the pack republicans

If a generally cordial and mainstream republican deserves to die then who doesn’t deserve in those people’s book?

I don’t think that’s the core liberal position but it’s big enough and across enough people in power that it’s uncomfortable.

We all needed to watch it. No more than ince is necessary. Something this horrific needs such an exclamation point

We probably agree on most political topics but the “all democrats want you dead” thing is a little over the top.

I didn't say that. This is what I said:

He went all over the place looking for trouble and people act surprised when he finds it?

That's the world you live in, I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner.

This, everyone. This is what your friendly Democrat neighbor thinks about YOU, not just Charlie Kirk. These people cannot be reasoned with.
