Saw him interviewed once. The interviewer commented that "I see you've shaved your head."

Manson replied "Course I did, the devil always shaves his head, didn't you know that?"

Old. School. Crazy.

How did he get caught again?

Manson didn't kill Sharon Tate and the others at 10050 Cielo Drive, as he wasn't present, however, he was the undisputed mastermind. He did take part in the LaBianca murders on a separate night in a different area of town. The whole damn thing was one of the most daunting and crazy crime investigations of all time. I did a research paper on it a long time ago in college.

I'm surprised that they never made a real movie about the actual investigation. There are lots of books, though.

Read Helter Skelter. It was written by the prosecutor of that case. Basically Manson wanted to start a race war by committing a horrible crime and blaming it on blacks. He thought white people would get so mad they would rise up and start a race war over it.

I knew that was his goal, but did he do anything to actually male it look like it was committed by blacks? It would seem he would have tried to leave some type of evidence framing a local black man or claimed to be an eye witness to to a suspicious black person in the neighborhood or something. I realize thats a bit of a reach, but I'm not aware of what he did to further his cause other than commit a couple of high profile and violent murders.
