Most of the new studies are finding that children are much better off if parents stay together - even when unhappy. So much so that some experts are recommending parents should co-habitate and do their own things rather than divorce.

My parents got divorced when I was 15 and it was for the best. I was old enough to realize they were unhappy together and it wasn’t my fault.
