Census Question

I'm seeing commercials lately and curious what the OT has to say on the subject... Is there anything the local office would do if one of them showed up at the door and I told them to go **** themselves? (I know the supposed law hence why I frame it as WOULD instead of CAN.) DEEP crooked blue state that I'd love to see lose a seat to Texas or Florida.

Do yourself a favor, just fill out the questionnaire. It's only once every ten years and it's not like the NSA hasn't gathered your information without your permission.

I could have easily filled it out online back in March. Not filling it out is about the only thing a Republican can do in a deep blue state (and vice versa.)

There are no legal definitions for any of the races, unless one wishes to take The Indian Roll literally, so anyone can be anything they wish. And some of the Left Coast says on their Drivers License one can be up to 57 different "genders" so again, whatever you wanna be.
I've been a Polynesian Islander Woman for 30 years according to the Census. You can now be a North Korean Giraffe Transsexual if you so choose. (Not a lot of those though, not sure you'll get adequate representation in the House. I might be wrong though, it's why the Census is so important, NOKO Giraffes may be under counted till now.)

I worked as a census taker in 1980. One guy refused to fill out the census report. I told my supervisor and he said to report it to the local police department. I did and a deputy went with me to the house and explained that the person could either fill out the form or go to jail.

I am working as one this year. Calling cops is a little extreme but OP is correct that they will make multiple attempts to collect the info. Better to go ahead and cooperate, should only take about 10 minutes then they are out of your hair

1) No one has been prosecuted for failing to fill out a census since 1970.
2) The jail time provision of the penalty was removed in 1976.
3) Census enforcement has to come from federal authorities - there is no local law for a deputy to enforce (except for trespassing the census workers, which has happened)
