I think Robin Williams reached a point, financially, where he needed to completely sell out to support the lifestyles of some people he really didn't care for anymore.

I'm talking multiple terrible Doubtfire sequels, after his heart wasn't even in Mrs. Doubtfire to begin with. Maybe there would have been some bad warmed over standup specials and some cringe-inducing Mork-and-Mindy crap on Netflix.

I won't say it was the right thing to do, but I don't blame the guy.

I'll never forget watching an interview with Chris, this was a good 8 years before he died, at the time I didn't understand his disposition, looking back on it now, I see that he was a lost soul, he spoke about how he wrote some of his most critically acclaimed songs in the closet of his bedroom.

Robin Williams still the most shocking. Even if he was known to have depression and whatnot.

Not big time, but yeah shocked me. He was always at camp, think SILs on GI. Was supposed to do show with him then, well you know.

Robin Williams as far as big names go.

The story of Chris Farley’s life and especially the weeks leading up to and the night of his death is absolutely tragic.

I watched David Spade talk about how much he loved and missed Farley one time and it was hard to get through.

I always think of this quote when I think of Farley:

Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. Doctor says, "Treatment is simple. Great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go and see him. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears. Says, "But doctor...I am Pagliacci.

Surprised no one's mentioned Phil/Brynn Hartman yet. Talk about tragic and out of nowhere.

That would be my call. Never saw that coming, but I understand he was facing some potentially serious medical issues that would have affected him.

He was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and also had Lewy body dementia that he didn't know about, but was having problems with his lines and concentrating while filming a movie. That had him spiraling mentally.

Farley got me. He was on top of the world and young...and had everyone’s attention at the time of his death.
John Belushi and Phil Hartman are a close second. So much potential with the world at their finger tips.
