The fall of Cindy Mancini, captain of the cheerleading team, from Can’t Buy Me Love was something nobody saw coming.
If you would have told me in 1988 that 30 years later Ronald Miller would have been considered a heartthrob & Cindy Mancini would be dead from drugs I would have laughed in your face.

What a stupid thing to say. First, she didn't even pose for Playboy. She worked at the Playboy Club.
She also happens to be a very talented front man and is clearly a trailblazer, so it's pretty safe to say that she didn't need Hugh fricking Hefner to get anywhere.
