It’s not uncommon for immunocompromised folks to need additional interventions for things like this.

that’s not the point. it’s “only the immunocompromised” now, but wait next month and see if a discussion isn’t being held that the general population should also get a 2nd booster. What we are suggesting is, that is the logical next conclusion. Do you disagree?

Your annual flu shot status is checked before you're allowed to enter certain places of business?

It was for my job at one point. It was either wear a mask during flu season or get your flu shot.

I don’t foresee the general population being asked to get a fourth booster within a year at this point, no.

I also haven’t seen any businesses require evidence of one booster shot in order to be considered vaccinated either.

How many flu shots a year do they get? Do they take annual polio vaccines? Tdap every 2 years instead of 10?

I don't have the answer, just trying to liken it to something that has always been the case. Either way, it's a lot, and even those happy to have it as an option would probably agree.

Here is the CDC’s recommendation for boosters

For individuals who received a Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, the following groups are eligible for a booster shot at 6 months or more after their initial series:

65 years and older
Age 18+ who live in long-term care settings
Age 18+ who have underlying medical conditions
Age 18+ who work or live in high-risk settings

Examples of workers who may get Pfizer-BioNTech booster[ 1 ] shots

First responders (e.g., healthcare workers, firefighters, police, congregate care staff)
Education staff (e.g., teachers, support staff, daycare workers)
Food and agriculture workers
Manufacturing workers
Corrections workers
U.S. Postal Service workers
Public transit workers
Grocery store workers
1 List could be updated in the future

CDC

It’s not just elderly & immunocompromised being advised to get a booster
Do you honestly believe these people aren’t going to be required to get a 4th booster?
Especially hospital & nursing home employees

Probably not. The whole point of the 4th booster for moderately to severely immunocompromised is because they are hindered in their ability to produce an immune response. The rest of the population doesn’t have that issue.

100% within the next year: If you don’t have your 4th shot, you are now unvaccinated and subject to losing your job.

...yet the rest of the population needs a 3rd shot at 6 months.

These will be perpetual boosters.

Joke all you want, cocksucker, but us moderately/severely immunocompromised folks need the boosters. It's less likely to be "just the flu" if we get the shite.
