Do I still need a booster if I never took the first shot?

Not sure what issue you have with immune compromised people getting an additional shot.

No one has an issue with this, but it always starts small then ends with all.

The reasoning makes sense that immunocompromised people never got full protection from the two doses and thus got a full dose third shot, not a booster. This one would be a lower-dose booster.

Everything brought up on this board results in everyone yelling slippery slope doesn't matter the issue.

I'd be a bit concerned about quarterly "vaccines" if I was immunocompromised. That's just a shite ton of injections that could do any number of things to your body.

Multiple posts assuming that this will turn into four shots a year for everyone. That seems a bit hysterical to me.

yeah, but you’re being a tad dramatic. how often is the general population being recommended to get a booster? every 6 months?

I don't get the shock that people who are immunocompromised may have to do more to get the full effects of the vaccine.

I missed the posts saying 4 shots a year for everyone, but please come back later and tell us how you always knew it would be the case when fully vaccinated begins to mean 2 boosters.

Gonna have to give people a legal pad instead of the CDC vaccine cards to keep all the info together .

Sure.

I just assumed it’ll be like the annual flu shot for the general population. It’s not uncommon for immunocompromised folks to need additional interventions for things like this.

Your annual flu shot status is checked before you're allowed to enter certain places of business?

I've been flying under the radar.

You'll have to remind me of examples of the "fully vaxxed" moving target in the context of that one.

This is pretty standard for most patients that are immunocompromised. These type of patients are at a very high risk if they do contract COVID of having severe reactions, so if getting regular boosters can help prevent that I’m not seeing the issue
