While I realize it’s anecdotal, wife’s daily C-19 work update usually begins with “Jesus, the patient I had today was f’ing disgusting”. One shift 4/4 on admitting patients all 400+. As I’ve said before, our lifestyle will be our demise.

Seems the three things that rona picks on are:

Fat
Old
High Blood Pressue

I am sure a lot of the victims have the triple crown.

I remember as a kid in the 90’s, we had one maybe two kids who were big/obese. Now it seems to be the norm.

the heaviest kid on our HS team weighed 235, and he was 6-7. Same school last season had multiple 300+ players and not because they were super muscled up. A family friend who's a pediatric endocrinologist commonly sees young children with Type II diabetes. They were told in medical school it was impossible for children to have it.

While smokers are treated as Nazi's the same people have been on a two decade long crusade to normalize morbid obesity

Only 28% of hospitalized pediatrics are obese? Actually thought it'd be much higher. I'm sure a fair amount of the no known issues having some unknown cardiac problem or respiratory problem.

I read a story a couple of weeks ago about a 22-year-old CNA who contracted it and was in ICU fighting for her life. Said she was young and healthy with no known conditions. Included pics. Let’s just say she had a condition and it had to have been known to everyone around her.

Kids are so sedentary nowadays.
They sit around watching YouTube etc.
Sure, we had videogames. But, it was at night or during bad weather.
If it was nice we were outside playing sports, or just getting into trouble.

There are some fatties here. But even the carries get outside and exercise in some fashion.
