Dude you don’t want the vaccine. You didn’t even like vaccines before covid, as you started multiple threads in general vaccinations for people long before covid existed

We get it, you don’t need to do this everyday

This... Those didpshits at the CDC have no clue as to what’s going on, so they continue to chance their stance...

Or do they? They finally got the variant that they have been warning us about and instead of waiting to see if this will just work itself out like the current data is saying it will, they will impose restrictions that will essentially do nothing other than cause people heartache.

The damage to mental health (mine included) another lockdown would do is immeasurable.

At this point, this shite feels like a sick joke. It went from “2 weeks to stop the spread,” to “2 years. Get vaccinated, but the vaccination might not work? Maybe get a booster shot, or 3rd vaccination? Possibly more shutdowns because people who are vaccinated can still get the variant.”

This is the fricking world we live in now, and it will never go back to normal. Every new spike, every new variant, you will get panic and people on the left projecting their fear porn for all to see.

I think it’s mainly because they know a lot less than they think they do.

You don’t get it. I’m not against the vaccine. I think the vaccines were a great accomplishment for America.

My point has and always will be that whatever we are doing WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH! You seem like a smart guy so I would figure you would be able to see this for what it is. I think vulnerable people who refuse to make life changes to protect themselves DEFINITELY should vaccinate themselves. I also think people who are not vulnerable (and we clearly know who that is) should make their own decisions but also should definitely prepare themselves for what may happen.

It’s the CDC and mixed messages are a tradition.

It's simple, the CDC is not making scientific decisions, they are making political decisions that align with the teachers unions and the Harris- Biden hyper progressive radical agenda. Keeping people thinking there's a crisis gives them the go ahead to keep paying people to stay home, pausing rent payments, shutting down schools, forgiving student loans, letting in unlimited numbers of illegal immigrants.

You can't remake America if you don't tear it down first, and their first step is to tear it down. The CDC is just a tool to use in their game.

The truth is, the CDC will have 50% of people agreeing with decisions, and roughly 50% of people hating them for their decisions

When they say something, Reddit cheers and tigerdroppings boos, or Vice versa

But that's not why the CDC is deliberately putting out a confusing message. The message is deliberately confusing because it's following a political need. You have to laugh anytime they claim they're making "science" based decisions.

About as legitimate as Nancy Pelosi's adherence to catholicism.

And how did we become a divided nation when less than 20 yrs ago we were not. Divide and conquer. Get both sides to hate each other and stay distracted. The powers that be have successfully be able to get vocal minorities on both sides to believe that whatever the other side is doing is evil.

Don't give me this "both sides" bull. Only one side has had major institutional power over the last decade. Only one side has had someone try to assassinate people on the other side, only one side has gone people's homes to intimidate and threaten them into subjugation.

There's no "both sides" to this. It just doesn't exist.

Honestly at this point, the government is clearly causing confusion about vaccination. Are they doing purposely or due to incompetence remains to be seen though I side on purposely bc I believe they want more control over their citizens (I think what is going on in Australia is our government’s ideal situation).

Or….

No one really knows what the frick is going on and every “precaution” is just a shot in the dark.

Have you ever considered, with the growing anger from everyone regarding Covid, politics, etc... that maybe, posting your thoughts about this is a sort of therapy? A fraud election, engineered virus, etc... people feel hopeless. The politicians are either complicit in all of this, or refuse to do anything. We literally have no power other than to bitch and gripe, and hope that our gripes become loud enough for someone to actually do something.

We "did something" when the archdiocese of BR came out with a "masks and distancing" for all kids in Catholic schools. They backed down. That kind of action needs to happen city and state wide. If enough people say, "screw it, i'm not listening to your bullshite anymore" and if demanded to mask up, reply with "make me", this shite will stop.

you’re really shifting the topic in this thread.

The OP topic was: the CDC has done a terrible job with messaging since Day 1 of COVID.

Every govt worker goes to work every day with one goal. Don’t do anything to risk my pension. Every answer they give will be a cover my arse answer.

As it specifically relates to the vaccine, moving of guidelines actually does make sense

New strains and new variants will potentially change the way the vaccine works. Yes, the cdc has been a shite show, but as it relates to changing parameters around the vaccine that actually does have some logic to if

The sooner everyone realizes everything the government does is shrouded in incompetence, the better off we all are.
