if JB James Construction is the same group that was James Construction and currently operates as PSC (Primoris Service Corp) then yes it's the lowest bidder and that whole company can GFT.

same family, different company

1. I’m pretty sure it’s not the same company.

2. Primoris is a publicly traded company.

ETA: Just realized you were replying to another poster. Didn’t realize that since you didn’t use a quote box.

JB James very well could be the same family that owned James Construction Group. I thought you were saying the James family was running PSC and lowballing bids.

James group is now Primoris (PSC). They were originally TL James, bought out on the 90’s by Angelo Iafrate (sp), despite not being owned any longer by the James family they still went by James Construction because of the name familiarity. Just recently james has begun to go by PSC.
Jeff James (owner of JB James) is a member of the TL James family

Yeah that’s kind of what I was getting at, though. They didn’t just change their name to PSC. They were bought by PSC, a publicly traded company, in 2009 and PSC finally rebranded them as part of Primoris Heavy Civil (I think). It’s not the same company that it was pre-2009.

JB James did la21 in Covington and now i12 from la21 to us90. JB James already pulled off of the i12 job and is now back.

If you know the “upper management” of JB James you would understand how this happened.

The owner of JB James is the great grandson of TL James.

The LADOTD does not like JB James. They did the i10 widening at transcontinental in Metairie and took for ever.

My dad worked for T L James in the late 60’s and said if another company won the bid it was because T L let them win it.

It's been a bitch sometimes with them working and you get stuck behind some frick that wants to go 45.

But, it's a straight shot. Its not hard to not go over. I think one time someone bent down to pick up their phone and did it.

Thank God it didn't interfere with the "safety" shoulders that are used exclusively for police vehicles to catch scoff laws traveling 7.5 mph over the too low posted limit.
