Good Lord. Now you’re going to start giving quotes. You know damn well I can provide a quote after quote suggesting they wouldn’t fire him. But I’m only going to do one. Otherwise, this will be all day.

You can’t find a single scripture that says to keep doing what you are doing just because you think it’s right. Again, just because Jesus forgave them doesn’t mean they didn’t have to change. It is astonishing how many Christians don’t know the teachings they profess to follow

Love is expressed in many different ways. Sometimes tough love is needed to drive home a point. A kind of tough love is firing someone for violating a contract.

Thankfully Jesus was willing to forgive those sins but drew the line at homosexuality

I wonder how many teachers and staff at the school have had extra marital affairs, gotten a divorce without getting it annulled by the church, I’ve had premarital sex, etc. that the school knows about. Or shacking up with another without being married. Better yet, uses birth control contraception. My guess is at least one.

This is an excellent point. However, one that needs a distinction. Yes...it's true, God views premarital sex between a man and a woman to be just as sinful as sex between two men or two women. Repentance is needed to overcome those sins.
The act of homosexuality itself, however, is always a sin no matter if the couple are married in the eyes of the state or not.

You can believe being a homosexual is fine just like dozens of other sins but that doesn’t make it right; sin doesn’t change with the times. I personally don’t care what they do but I always find it comical when Christians try to downplay certain sins because they personally don’t think they are a big deal. I am sure someone who gambles away his family’s money justifies it in his head as not a big deal either
