Don't know if they dragged their feet or legitimately this is the soonest flight, I couldn't imagine the apprehension they're feeling right now.

I’d be chartering a fishing boat to the caymans before I sat through a cat 5 on Jamaica.

Can you imagine being the husband who insisted on going because they couldn’t get a refund as their roof blows off, the water and electricity are off for a week and they can’t fly out for a week?

Youd need a divorce just so you didn’t have to listen to a lifetime of “i told you so”.

Didn’t Beryl scrape southern Jamaica last year as a 5? How different will this be from that?

Glancing blow vs direct hit from a slow moving cat 5 projected to drop 30” of rain.

I am amazed at the storms this year, many of them taking a hard 90* turn and out to sea.

What exactly has protected the Gulf and the east coast from landfalls this year? High pressure, shear, dust... what is the reason?

Well it’s either an odd but statistically possible coincidence that it’s happened three times due to atmospheric conditions or Trump has space lasers and is guiding hurricanes out to sea with an Xbox controller.

Proceed as you will haha.

Do they live under a rock? I am continually amazed at how unaware people are

I feel very bad for what Jamaica is about to go through. A possible 3 feet of rain and mudslides everywhere… just devestating.

Anyone staying in Negril or Montego Bay on the west side of the likely track may be relatively lucky and not have too many problems. But if anyone is in Ocho Rios and east of there on the north coast or anywhere along the south coast, they should try to get out.

The latest NHC forecast doesn't have much change in track and still calls for a Major. It now mentions the possibility that areas in western Jamaica and eastern Haiti could see 30"+ of rain.

Has this thing moved any in the last 3 days? Seems like it’s just stalled in one area.

Very little, and that's the biggest problem.

It's going to be a strong 3 as it goes by Gitmo. I hope Obama and Hilldawg are not scared.
