Had a cat who used to go behind the TV and poop/urinate. Our solution was to place aluminum foil on the floor around the back of the TV. Apparently cats hate walking on the stuff. After a month, we removed the foil and the cat never went back there.

well shite.. my entire downstairs flooring would just about be covered in aluminum foil. I suspect that he may have another or may still have his UTI because they aren't large urination puddles. I'm on the phone with his vet now to see if there might be anything that we missed. The little shite is cute, but frick man.. this pissing in the house thing has to stop. Especially since he's doing it in the toy room and we have a baby on the way

He probably does have a uti. Our cat was like that and ever since we did those things, he has been good. Get the food and take the dome off. Make sure they are all very large boxes.

Is the cat drinking a lot of water and losing weight? If so, it has diabetes. Or it could be a uti. If neither of those, the cat is being a shithead in which case give it a bowl of antifreeze.

Or polycystic kidney disease (PKD) which is common in cats (though at the young age of your cat this may not be likely).

Go to the vet and get him some special Kidney/UT health food. We had to give one of our cats that food for a few months before it cleared up for good. She was about the age of your cat and doing the same things. Stress also caused he to regress.

It sounds like the UTI is not cleared up yet, it is really uncomfortable for the cat. They have to be on antibiotics for a while. Please be patient, he doesn't want it any more than you do. There is cat food formulated for urinary tract health that you should give her once he stabilizes.
