Others mention grant stone, which are nice but I can’t bring myself to drop $400+ on them.

I got some Thursday vanguards, which is their American made line, in burnt copper. Wear them to work with chinos and causal with jeans. Really like them so far except they don’t have speed hooks.

I wear these more often than not. Have had my current pair for nearly 13 years. Only had to replace the heel portion of the sole so far.

Plenty of reasons to wear them.

You live in an area cold and rainy? A boot that is water proof will keep your feet dry and do better in puddles. Same as in the snow vs wearing a breathable sneaker.

You ever been walking through mud? Well yeah I’ve lost a shoe a few times in the mud. It’s harder for the boot to come off.

They also look nicer to go out in over sneakers.

I’m not really wearing them around during summer months, but they serve a purpose.

I have a pair of iron rangers too and Love them, but man the break in period was brutal.
The other pair I like to swap with is my Cody James Montana’s. Very comparable to the Tecovas.

Usually something like this with cargo shorts a little below the knee.

How long did the doctor say you have to wear those for?
