Carvana is the greatest automotive invention
I was following both Carmax and Carvana options for my last car purchase about 4 months ago. Carmax offered me more for my previous car and their prices seemed to be cheaper for similar cars for sale. Carmax was also great in repairing some items I discovered, no questions asked. Was really happy with the experience.
And they really will just cut you a check for your car with no contingencies or other purchase requirements.

Carvana typically just runs the numbers and makes you an offer, based on your description.
Carmax has the same thing but they do a full inspection when you bring it in to confirm it aligns with what you claimed. I'd be shocked if Carvana didn't do the same.

They offered me less than half of the private sale value for my truck. No thanks.
No shite. How do people not understand that a dealer is ALWAYS going to offer less than you can get selling it yourself? It's freaking economics

One of my best car experience was when Carvana pulled up and gave me a check for $21,500 for my wife’s RAV 4 Toyota, I hated that car and boom it was gone. Yippee!

Thanks for this thread. I've just started shopping for a new truck but deliberately didn't look at carvana because they don't negotiate. Will check them out now.
