Carry on bags out of control/spinoff fatty plane thread

1 carry on and that should be that. See people all the time w a carry on rolling in with a HUGE back pack riding with it, a shopping bag full of tourist crap, and a Popeyes/KFC bag of grease. They are wearing a parka ( probable pockets stuffed) in summer. They start looking in first class for a space in the bin as they trudge to the back with the rest of their crap. Airlines need to enforce only ONE bag and check the rest. Thank you for your attention to this matter

Flying needs to be more expensive
The cost of flying is now less than it was 30 years ago in actual numbers and way way less when adjusted for inflation

2 bags and enforce the sizes.
1 over head carry on (rolling bag) and 1 under seat bag that should easily slide under the seat without issue.
They have the rules, they just don't enforce them.
I do think bringing food with any kind of odor onto a plane should result in the passenger being thrown out of the plane in midair.

Checked bags should be free and carry-ons should cost extra

Airplanes have become Greyhound buses of the unwashed masses, use to be elegant.

I don't fly much, but always laugh that you get a carry-on, plus a smaller "bag," plus an additional "item" sometimes. It's weird since I am carrying them all onboard with me.

When airlines started ripping people off for checked bags and also got really shitty at having your bag waiting for you at your destination- that's when carryons started to get out of control. I'd much rather check my bag quickly and easily instead of rolling it around the whole damn airport and boarding and stowing it, but the problem is I don't know if my bag will be there when I get there. And when the checked bag does make it, it takes 30 minutes at the carousel to retrieve it.

it should just be one carry on, end of story. i dont care if you're a chick and you have a purse, put that shite inside your carry on.
yet another example of the low trust, low class society we have here.

Airline lost my checked bag 15ish years ago and I don't think I've checked one since outside of a couple long Europe trips. And I fly a lot.
Airtags do make me more comfortable, but it's just a nightmare if you're going somewhere and your bags don't come with you.

I agree there should be one bag in the overhead. If your backpack fits under the seat, no problem there either.
If we are going to talk about flight etiquette that needs to be fixed, it should be a rule is that you go straight to jail if you stand up as soon as the seatbelt light turns off and you try to cut everyone to get off of the plane instead of giving people space to get their luggage down, etc. in an orderly manner.

Horrible idea. Then you’d have a plane full of people standing up getting water bottle, book, headphones, etc. out of their carryons stowed overhead.

Yea this pisses me off too. A personal item is not a full size backpack. Women don't get to bring a huge laptop bag full of shite and call it a purse. Stop letting people skirt the rules and inconvenience everyone else.
And also, the bin above your seat should be for you only. If i get to my seat, and somebody else's shyt is in my bin, then someone over packed and it's now inconvenienced me. Yet again, people who follow the rules get screwed and pos people get to do whatever they want without repercussion.

Airlines don't use common sense at all. Here's another example: free-for-all boarding. Why not let the people at the back board first? Last row first, then next to last, etc. Too logical, I know.

Some jackass chomping on a simple bag of Fritos on a plane is a much worse smell.

I love how every flight now has a dozen people in wheelchairs that get free priority boarding (and overhead space use) and every single one of them miraculously walks off the plane when we land. People who fake disabilities should be banned from flying.

That would be great,. However they should not be able to put stuff in bins in front of there seats, only over their seats
