Well, she had done plenty of lines, what's one more.
(Too soon?)

We were at the David Bowie one next store to One Eyed Jacks, was a lot of fun. Crowded but everyone around us was fun to talk to. Even got some beer from someone.

To many in New Orleans Chewbacchus is a beloved reinterpretation of Carnival, breathing New Life into old traditions using the contemporary mythology of pop-culture. But to some we are a lightning rod for their fears of cultural dilution and erosion. It's misplaced and short sighted. We are truly and always will be a Rebellion built on hope. We run on love and enthusiasm. I don't take it personally. Carrie Fisher is one of our greatest Heros from modern mythology and we are going to honor her, regardless of anyone's opinion on whether we should or not.

Indeed. All of my friends from BR who moved to NO are complaining about the last great cultural mecca being bastardized or some ridiculous bullshite.
Nobody can "New Orleans" harder than people who live in New Orleans who weren't actually born in New Orleans.

I got it when they had one for Bowie but not so much for Fisher. She's very overrated.

My ex is one of these people. Well, she was born in New Orleans but most her life with the exception of high school she lived on the northshore and fricking podunk Amite for cyring out loud.
These people act as if New Orleans is this awesome city with so much to offer. Most of the place is a dumpster fire and if it wasn't for the French Quarter, there would be no compelling reason to visit. Even that is a bit of a stretch.

Second lines are trashy.

So you think the only good place to visit in Nola is the French Quarter? LOL
That's why I avoid that area to stay away from so many dumbasses

Meh. The one for Prince was pretty awesome.
You get much better people than usual for stuff like this because the local tourist trash and the thugs hate that kind of shite
