No charges SHOULD be filed, but it will depend on the Texas Laws. The threat was over when he killed him, some states don't allow the vehicle to be an extension of the home as far as defense of property goes.

The case is expected to be referred to a Harris County grand jury to determine what, if any, charges will be filed.

Let me save them some time....

I hate that the victim had to take a life but if this happens more maybe the criminals will have second thoughts. Worse case there are less criminals.

Since it happened in Texas, no formal charges will be filed and if they were to, they would be dropped.

Yea, this will be interesting. He cannot claim self-defense and I'm not sure if TX extends their Defense of Habitation laws to include vehicles. If they do not, then he very well could be charged with voluntary manslaughter.

the only charges will be against the other carjacker who got away.

the shooter has cut and dry self defense as the other thugs had a gun on him. he feared for his life. there is also a stand your ground law.

I pray the other POS either gets cancer or falls on a knife

They do, and he won't get charged. End of story.
