If you are as willing to lower your profit as you say you are, why don’t you hire a high level employee to deal with all the stressful BS you don’t want to deal with and keep your worries to a minimum and just pick up a hobby to fill in your time

I’d do one of 2 things before giving up on it:
1. Pay more for higher qualitiy employees. I have the same issue as you in regards to the talent pool. It is worth over paying to get and keep the right people vs all the drama and turnover that comes with a < $10/hr person. I have the margins to do that, where you may not. I’m pretty sure Chic-fil-a uses this model and it seems to work for them.
2. Hire a manage to run what you have now and go find a new challenge. Whether it be more of the same or something completely different. I’m sure you can pay someone who will gladly take on the day-to-day headaches.

Before I started out my career in other things I bounced around and worked a year in a lawn mower mfg plant.
Later in life I started selling and repairing mowers part time for side money at a lawn mower dealer and small hardware store. I enjoyed the job and bought the place. Floor planned with Orgill and never looked back.
My partners each brought a skill to the table. Two are in horticulture, one construction, and mine outdoor power equipment. We grew to 4 locations plus now five outdoor power repair centers.
I love what I do.
Since I do not live near the shops anymore I just handle buying and inventory control on parts.
Eventually my wife wants me to retire it is hard as I enjoy what I do.

Do you have any interest in healthcare? I knew of a guy who worked on Wall Street and got burned out with it. He went back and became a physical therapist in his 50s. Physician assistant could also be a good potential career. It’s generally a 2 year Master’s degree. Most schools require the GRE and have a few science prereqs. Starting pay can vary from $80 to $110K per year. If you want more info on medical careers, PM me.

Do This First
Best money I ever spent. Finally in a job and pursuing a career that is meant for me. I wish I had done it before college. Both of my kids have gone through it as well. Very insightful.

It really depends on what kind of salary you’re looking for and how many years of school you’re willing to go to.
Of course, top paying on average, but requiring the most effort over an extended period are physicians. Most are paid $200k plus and surgeons double that.
Physician assistant is a versatile career where you can practice in different specialties without having to go to a separate residency. There is a wide variance among schools in regards to admission requirements. Some require prior work in the medical field, while others just require some volunteer hours. Salary ranges from about 80-180k.
There are numerous other medical professions that require less schooling and effort, but they don’t pay as well. Examples of these Include physical therapy assistance, respiratory therapist, radiologist technician’s, ET se include physical therapy assistant, respiratory therapist, radiologist technicians, etc.
Another job that might be well-suited to you however with a business degree is medical device sales. When I was a student, I remember meeting some med device salesmen that made more than the surgeons. You don’t start out making a lot though. It takes quite a bit of effort to build up your business.

Topless snowball stands. Or strip clubs that serve snowballs. Just combine snowballs and tits and you will print money.
Everyone loves tits or snowballs. Except diabetic gays, but I don’t think they make up a large portion of the population

You likely need an MHA or be a physician to work in healthcare administration. You also normally start at the bottom.
And no, female physicians prefer muscular Harley biker types with lots of tatts. So no chance for you there guy. ??

br clinic seems like a good place to work. i will have to talk to my doctor about my career options.
Posted on 8/8/18 at 8:34 am to Boo Krewe
Go find a clinic where they let you shadow and then you can see what it’s like. You have to really have a passion for it or making it through school will be extremely tough.
