The problem isn't necessarily with your cleaner. Its your technique.

For streak free windows, you have to treat the window cleaner like a wax.

What I do is use three separate microfiber cloths:

One to apply the cleaner
One to remove the cleaner
One to buff the window.

You may have to buff more than once to make sure there are zero streaks.

That said, for the interior of my truck, I use Stoners glass cleaner. For the exterior, I recently started using Chemical Guys ceramic glass cleaner, and it work really well.

And, don’t even think about cleaning the windshield in direct Sun or if it’s warm.

I tried sprayway and it left a residue so bad it took work to get it off. I think it is what started the issue with me
100%

sprayway may be fine for your house windows but does not work at all on car windshields.

abrasive scrubbing like with a black & white newspaper and microfiber is all i ever use and avoid the 'sun streaks surprise' when we turn into the sun on an early morning drive.

Buffer attachment for drill and some cleaning vinegar took water spots out of wife’s glass.

When I was still washing cars by hand, I would towel dry glass immediately, but it was the second pass with a microfiber towel that cleared streaks. Circular motion, wax on wax off. Wipe inside too and keep glass as cool as possible when cleaning

Just to add another option and one that I have used with some moderate success. Find a small squeegee, a small bowl of dawn and a microfiber. Dilute the Dawn in a small bowl of water, soak the microfiber and ring out enough to where it is not dripping. Wipe the window, works best if you do 1/2 windshield at a time and then squeegee off. There will be some areas like corners and around the rearview you will not be able to get fully, but those are out of sight range and you can handle those separately with normal measures.

Do not do this in Sun or when car is hot, it will cause it to streak and look worse than when you started cleaning.

You will have to find small squeegee, a silicone one will work best as it will conform the shape of the window.

Newspaper does work well and leaves no lint.
