I was told when my car was broken into around New Year's that they use the device that gets you out of your window if it's in water. Apparently it doesn't set off the alarm.

I remember a few years ago when my car got broken into and they took everything that wasn’t nailed down including my glove box but left my Steely Dan CD. You’ll take the time to pick up the pennies under my seat but Steely Dan isn’t good enough for you? F-in scumbags

My house got broken into just before Christmas 97.... smashed a back window with a screwdriver. Makes me laugh looking back, they stole a dvd player and my dads gary glitter cds. 
Turns out it was a couple of junkies who had been targetting other houses in the area. We used to have a set of large trees in my back yard which made that end of my house almost invisible to neighbors. Got them chopped down since and put an alarm system in that would wake up the street.
