Car lease question

I’m interested in obtaining a car lease for my wife who will drive it a total of 10 miles every day M-F back and forth to work.
I’ve been seeing lots of ads on TV from different manufacturers offering car leases on midsize cars, Toyota, Honda, Chevy Etc...
Not looking for something fancy, maybe a Subaru (great cars for the Minnesota Winters) a or a compact/midsize vehicle.
How should I go around shopping for a decent lease? Walk in to the dealer place and say, hey saw your offer on TV and I want that?
How flexible are they when it comes to negotiating lease deals?
I know there is a long thread by Willcover (spell/name check) in regard to car buying advice. Not sure if it relates to leasing as well. Searched and was not able to find it.
Thanks in advance.

Her work is 1 mile away? You should buy a car with 100,000 miles on it for cheap then. Why would you lease a vehicle for that?

What if he doesn’t need to be cheap?

Those lease deals you see on TV are usually for a base model with money down.
You can get upgrades and put no money down if you want but keep in mind the payment goes up.

My wife barely puts any miless so we leased a car. If you agree to 10k miles/ year you can get a little Honda or infinity for 300 a month. They definitely negotiate

I did and she loved at it first, in the summer time. She can’t drop off the kid at daycare with a bike though. Besides it’s -20 deg outside.

Lessing a car doesn’t make sense to me because you will always have a note and have to obey all of these driving/miles restrictions. I never understood the appeal.

the appeal is if you want a new car every few years it ends up being the same as buying one. If you go trade in a 2-3 year old car and dont put anything down you will likely be upside down.

Once you find the car you want and work a deal with a dealership, email every dealership within a couple hundred miles of you and start working them against each other.

Never put money down on a lease and do the shortest term you can. Hard lesson i learned.

Just go buy a Subaru if she drives that little why pay for something and not have any equity or a set of wheels! in 20 years if you continue to lease you would have spent 120+k on cars and not own one. But in 20 years you would only have put 100-120k on a Subaru hell that is a 500k mile car so pay 30k & have a nice driver for your teenager or pay 100k and need to get 2 cars one for the wife and 1 for the kid now your monthly outlay is equal to another mortgage plus kid going to college. If you too the money you are going to PISS away leasing vs buying least you will spend 120ish over 20 years buy finance 5 years then invest 400 a month for 15 years you will have a Subaru with only 100k miles on it and 135,000 in the bank at 7% return
BUY BUY BUY BUY a Subaru
BUY BUY BUY BUY a Subaru

Don’t you mean Celsius? If it was Celsius then it’s warmer then -20 Fahrenheit.

New car every 2-3 years, always under warranty and payments are typically cheaper than financing. If you're buying a new car over that sort of time span it can make more sense.
OP should look into a lease for a 3 series.

ive seen 45k tundras leasing for 324 a month out the door. alot of variables go into leasing and if you dont do the research you will get screwed.
