Many are because they cover part or all of the state name. Texas reinforced this to me on a little piece of expensive paper regarding a Price Leblanc frame.

Some people keep it on there to flex where they bought the car from
Like all the people who kept their Sewel badges on their Tahoes... Thinking they were the shite purchasing it from a Cadillac dealership..
I even saw a dude who had an old Silverado with a big Sewel badge on his back window...

Gerry Lane had oil changes for life if you kept their license plate on the front. It really bugged me but I love free stuff so I kept it
Same here. Have a ten year old Suburban. I have never paid for an oil change on it ever.

I always remove them. It’s not hard.

Dealer would install rear bumpers with their name stamped on them?
Bill Allen Dodge in Monroe, Louisiana did those.

Every car I’ve bought for the past 4 vehicles I’ve told them right as we were closing the deal “oh yeah I want the entire vehicle stripped of all signage”. I make them take off license plate covers, dealership name stickers etc. only one has ever ask why? My response was you don’t have to just knock another $500 off for 6 months or $1,000 for 1 year and I’ll leave it on. I’m buying a vehicle not advertising for free.

I'll leave the frames on until I have a reason to switch them out as long as they don't look ridiculous. The two I have are just black backgrounds on a metal frame with white letters. I don't do dealer stickers though.
