Car accident advice

Driver ran a red light this morning and hit me. They were ticketed but did not write down their insurance information on the driver info exchange form.
Any advice on what to do now (stupid of me not to double check the form) would be appreciated. Assuming she doesnt answer the phone, could the insurance info be on the police report if its not on mine? Could I use the police report to get the insurance info?

The police can pull it up on their system for sure. Not sure if they'll give it to you, but they do have access.

Do you have "full coverage"?
Collision?
If so, you can file it on your insurance and have them take care of it.

Police report should have it. Driver hit me and wouldn't speak. Got all info from report.

Just turn it all over to your insurance company - assuming you have comprehensive coverage - and they'll take care of the rest.

I have uninsured motorists coverage but why should my insurance have to pay? I assumed when the officer handed me the form it would be on there (my fault).

Call your insurance company, they will guide you.

FIFY
But if you go through your own insurance, you have to pay your collision deductible. You'll get it back though if the other driver actually had an active insurance policy once his insurance reimburses your insurer

What intersection? Little Rock drivers are the worst at running red lights.

They don't have insurance. You're screwed.

Only go through your insurance if the other driver's insurance lapsed or is giving you a hard time. If you go through your own, you have to pay your collision deductible (which you'd get back once your insurance got reimbursed by other drivers insurance).

Good to know. Appreciate the replies.

Bingo. That's what you're paying them for. Let them hunt down the information. Sounds like a police report was filed so you held up your end of the bargain.

Exactly. So why deal with all the BS? Let your insurance handle it.

This. Go to the police station and tell them you need the driver who hit you insurance info. They will likely give it to you. If you go through your insurance you will pay your deductible.
