What intersection? Little Rock drivers are the worst at running red lights.

12th and Louisiana. 3 officers stopped to say they would help but had more pressing matters. Apparently there was a shooting downtown this morning.

I have uninsured motorists coverage but why should my insurance have to pay?

Uhhh cause the other motorist gots no money.

Call your insurance company; that's what you pay them for.

This. Go to the police station and tell them you need the driver who hit you insurance info. They will likely give it to you. If you go through your insurance you will pay your deductible.

Gotcha. This is what I really needed to know.

I was expecting you to come back with a West Little Rock intersection. My wife works off of 9th and Center so basically just the other side of 630.

Yeah, I just wasnt sure if the difference in my rates going up or not was going through my insurance company. I guess that really makes no difference.

I would prefer to not pay the deductible and have to wait for reimbursement since Im not the one who blew a red light. I will see if I can get the insurance info from the police tomorrow.

If your car is deivable and you can wait, then wait and see if the other driver is insured.

Should you file a collision claim, you'll incur your deductible. With the other driver being at fault, this should not cause any increase to your rates. You're filing through your insurance under the assumption they'll recover your deductible in addition to what they've paid for your damages.

That being said, if you file a collision claim and during the repair process you get the other cat's insurance info, call them and ask for your deductible back now rather than having to wait. If coverage and liability aren't issued, they should have no problem paying you back then, and waiting for the subrogation package from your insurer to square them up.
