Can't cross legs without foot falling asleep???

While sitting on the floor outside the lecture hall I've concluded that there is no way for me to sit, for longer than just a couple of minutes, without one or the other of my feet falling asleep.
Sit "indian" style? Left foot falls asleep.
Reverse "indian" style? Right foot.
Legs straight crossed at ankles? One or the other falls asleep.
One leg straight with other bent at the knee and crossed under? The foot under falls asleep.
This is a minor annoyance, to be sure, but is this possibly an indicator of a more serious problem?
I have good circulation, normal blood pressure, no other diagnosed problems that I think would lead to this numbness. I'm 5'10" and 190 lbs (not in the greatest of shape, but I'm doubtful that I'm out of shape enough for that to be the problem). I do a minimum of 4 miles a day of cardio (35-50 miles per week) and lift weights 3 times per week.
What say you of the OT?

I know this is going to sound crazy but don't sit on the floor.... you don't wonder why your back hurts after sleeping on the floor do you?

I would go to Dr. I have this issue. Got meds for RLS and it helps. I still can't sit for long periods of times with my legs crossed.

Did you just start a thread asking people how to sit and cross your legs?

The OT seldom disappoints.
There's no comfortable way to sit in the floor.

In fact, I do. Lost over 90 pounds the past year.
