again, when is the right time, in your opinion? you still haven't answered that question...

again, we can't all be intellectual giants, like you, Rog... so i'm asking for your enlightenment here... you know, so i don't make the same mistake again, in your opinion

Again, second time. When the issue is not a false equivalency.

Dude, I've never claimed high intelligence.
But you seem to be falling short of even that standard in this thread.

Roger is correct, ChrisX.
For years, the Left and the media have lectured the Right to “tone it down,” calm the rhetoric, and let cooler heads prevail. yada yada. Charlie Kirk actually tried that, he lived by it, he built a platform on it….he reached across the aisle and engaged in conversation with people who opposed him.
And for that, he was assassinated.
Let that line there sink in. You can argue until you are blue in the face: this week isn’t the time for “both sides” finger-wagging.

No, we're done with that

What a terrible take. There’s a difference in canceling someone for saying chicks with dicks dont belong in the girls lockeroom and people celebrating the death of someone who doesn’t bow to their worldview. The people in the latter group deserve to be cancelled. Whether they’re celebrating Kirk’s assassination or the inevitable death of Biden.
Do better
Do better

so, even though I clarified my positions on said "false equivalency", i can't voice my opinion? why is that? what makes my opinion any less valid than anyone else here? or is it that it just is in opposition to yours, you don't like that, and thus, we are where we are... YOU feel a certain way about it, so therefore i was in the wrong...
dunno man... seems like you feel a certain way about it b/c it didn't confirm your bias on the topic, and rather than just accept a variant viewpoint, you condemn it completely, b/c it's easier that way....
and look bro... i like you, so please don't think i don't... you're funny, you've been an addict and got clean and sober, as have i, so i feel a certain sense of comradery with you b/c of that... you seem like a good dude, all bullshite aside, but i think on this one, we are just going to agree to disagree
so, let's just acknowledge that, and move on with the disucssion... i know where you stand, you know where i stand, but there's no reason to throw the baby out with the bathwater over it... agreed?

Never mind.
If you dont understand when things are appropriate or not, I'm certainly not going to change your mind.

There's no solving the problem when a dude literally tries to have peaceful conversations with those on the other side and for that, he's shot in the throat in front of his wife and kids and thousands openly celebrate it.

so no owning your own part of the problem (and yes, the right has their share in the ongoing escalation of political strife we currently see), trying to be the bigger person and inviting in those you may disagree with, for the betterment of society?
just frick all that democracy bullshite, right?

There's no making amends with people who openly celebrate the death of a political opponent.
They're too far gone.

i agree... there are some that are too far gone, both D and R... it's too late for them...
but be careful of painting ALL of them with too broad a brush... there are still really, REALLY good people on both sides, regardless of the absolutely disgusting things we may be seeing right now...
in the end, i truly believe, the side of "good" will win... i have to believe that...
