Canadian pizza order goof helps feed entire Texas firehouse

Jordan Lampertz, who is with the Lesser Slave Regional Fire Service in Alberta, wanted to feed the attendees at a seminar the service was hosting on post-traumatic stress disorders.
Lampertz thought he asked for 18 pies from a local pizzeria name Alimo’s. But he had mistakenly typed Alamo’s in his Google search. He soon received a call from an unfamiliar area code.

He paid the $300 for the pizza anyway and asked Alamo’s to send them to a local firehouse or shelter.
“I’ll go ahead and get them out there for you,” Alamo’s owner Fred Nunez recounted telling him on CTV.
Two San Antonio firehouses and some police officers enjoyed the unexpected free meal earlier this week.
“This has to win an award for the longest ‘mutual aide’ response in history! Thanks for the pizza and the laughs Lesser Slave Regional Fire Service! Next time any of your firefighters are in San Antonio ALAMO PIZZA is on us!,” the San Antonio Fire Department posted on Facebook.

Not shabby at all. Now should buy the Canadians some pizza rather then wait for them to come to San Antonio.....pay it forward boys!!

It’s derivative of a Native American word that was pronounced like Slav-ehh.
It is now Slave.
I assume Lesser Slave is smaller than Great Slave lake.
