It can be overwhelming and was wondering if there are any online resources for finding the best deals while making the most out of the trip.

Christy at Happily Ever After yours is who we always book through. She knows all the Disney "tricks" as Disney is mostly what her agency does. Costs you nothing and she's good about showing alternative hotels or travel dates for savings. Lover her itineraries for each day and her tips for Disney hidden gems.

Try a Disney booking agent. Disney pays the commission and they work to get you the best deals.

I have a name to recommend, but don't know if I want to post it.

He should go with the classic "How can I sneak booze on my Carnival cruise?" thread.

Well, are you looking for a booking site as your subject implies of just rsources to find deals?

To get a good breakdown of the rides, hours, deals, etc. I'd check allears.net or if you rather a book, the Unofficial Guide to Disney World.

To book I think going straight through Disney works pretty good.

Book through the Disney site. Check out Frog Tours for crowd calendars, suggestions for food (do the dining plan with some preplanned strategy) and resorts. Very easy to arrange reservations, fast passes, flights, etc.
