Can you read this tombstone? Solve a family puzzle? **SOLVED**

SOLVED! It's two quotes from the time period:
"I will send my children’s children to reverence him who ennobled their name with his heroic blood.
The principle for which we contend is bound to reassert itself, though it may be at another time and in another form”
BIG THANKS to you helpful ones who helped piece it together.
Original Post:
My mom has been pestering me to help her figure out what this family member's tombstone says. I cannot for the life of me figure it out. I've got "Let our ___ children reverence him.... at another time and in another form."
Anyone want to have a go? ETA: This is on the other side of the country- can't do the crayon/marker/pencil thing.

First blank looks like 'childrens'

You can try and put a sheet of paper on there with a charcoal chalk and rub it.
You may be able to see it better.

Ever tried getting a rubbing of the marker? Would probably solve the riddle.

Put a couple sheets of loose leaf over it and get yourself a #2 pencil and get to work

Or run it through different photoshopped filters to make the writing stand out

It's on the other side of the country. Even if I stacked all my markers on top of each other, it still wouldn't reach.

Is there a caretaker there that can shed some light?

Let out children's children reverence him who ... there name with his ... blood.
The principal for which he died....not.....assert itself....though it may be at another time and in a different form.
Maybe try taking a paper put over it and color it with a crayon -- whatever that process is called.

I think they're Lenny Kravitz lyrics.

Let us teach our children to have reverence for him ( God) so that we may see them again in another place and in another form ( heaven)
or some variation of that

Trying different filters was great advice! I've gotten further:
Let our children's children reverence him who _____ (expedited?) their _____ with ______ blood.
The principles in which he died (yet?)______ ... through...different time and in a different form.

If you know the cemetery and locale, go to findagrave.com and see if there is a better picture of it.

I think it says "Don't carve your tombstone out of chalk, lest nobody be able to understand a damned word on it."

"Let our children's children reverence him who (?) their name with his hero's/herioic blood"

That's where these pictures are from. They are the best ones we can find so far.
