The crazies pushed typical semi-political posts over here. I agree with you, but the poli-board needs to be cleansed as well first.

How is a police shooting more relevant for a political board?
The reality is these events are being pushed into our daily lives so it becomes everyday “news”.
LeBron is commenting on it. So should it be on the more sports board?
Actors are commenting on it. So should it be on the movie/TV board?
The real issue is people like you who think that if you ignore it that it will go away. You keep running from the problem, but I promise it will find you wherever you go.

These aren’t my own needs. I feel like this is for the improvement of the site. There are so many boards to choose from. That’s great. I know where to go for my Home and Garden needs, golf information, LSU sports, etc. You’d think threads created for the sole purpose of discussing politics would be kept in Political Talk, but that’s not the case.

I agree with you, but I'm going to say the answer is no.
Its been heading that way for a long time now. Heck, it's way past the OT and has colonized most of the TD boards now.
I'm thiking if has not been stopped, it has to be a net financial plus for the cluckster. His board, his rules.

I’d say that’s underrepresented if you compare it to the percentage of stories you would see if you turned on the news or went to cnn.com

Do you not have the option to not click on a thread you decide is political in nature? There are plenty of threads on the first page right now that have nothing to do with what you call politics.
There’s a huge overlap between “politics” and current events that is unavoidable, but no one is making you click on a thread you’re not going to enjoy. Admin doesn’t need to shelter you.
