Can someone help decode this pump's specs for me?

I am looking for a pump that can output a constant 25" of Mercury and someone suggested the above pump. When I convert 3320 Pascal to Inches of Hg, it comes out to only 0.98 inHg. What does Ultimate Pressure mean? Do I need to consider absolute/gauge pressure? Can someone tell me if this pump will generate 25 inHg of vacuum?

you hve to clarify...are you looking for 25 inches of mercury of output pressure or are you looking for 25 inches of mercury of vacumn?....two very different kinds of pumps are needed for one versus the other...

at any rate, I think your conversion is correct and this pump will not create 25 inches of mercury head pressure..

Isn't 25" of Hg a shitload of pressure?

Also, is Ultimate Pressure the same as Absolute Pressure?

ok...so, are you looking for a pump that can deliver that vacumn over the long term or are you looking for something that can be used sporadically for pumping down a refrigerant system?

also, will this pump need to be portable or will it be mounted somewhere in a fixed application?...

Might help if you had specified this is a dry vacuum pump. Ultimate pressure isn't a positive reference here, it's telling you it can draw down to 3.32kPa (atmosphere is 101.4 kPa) which is almost 29 in-Hg gauge or between 96% and 97% vacuum. So yeah, that pump would work.

It will be a continuous application that runs 24/7, 365 days a year.

Doesn't need to be portable. We will run vacuum lines to the machine that requires this vacuum.

My question is where are you going to find a 100 volt system to use this with?
