My youngest stepson is graduating HS in May and wants to attend La Tech. I know they have trimesters instead of semesters. Just don’t know how it works.

I've heard the first trimester is always the hardest.

Ive done both. There are advantages and disadvantages. You can graduate sooner, but they go really fast, and if you miss a couple of classes its hard to catch up. And it sucks having to go back to school right after Christmas when everybody else is still on break.

Quarters flew by. If you had a though class/shitty professor, it was over before you knew it.

6 or 9, dont remember which. I think 12 is the max you can take without special permission.

Great info. This will be helpful.

He’s very intelligent, but a poor student. The quarter system seems like it might be a bad idea for him.

Oregon colleges still use quarters. Insane. School is out 1/2 of football season

I think the Republicans have made it MUCH HARDER to DROP a class after the 2nd Trimester!

Knew people that went to Tech because they took off the trimester that coincided with hunting season.

Called quarters. Graduated from La Tech as well as LSU. Didn't notice much of a difference. Still had to study.

Shorter semesters with books designed for full semesters

It makes summer a real semester.

Designed to get it over faster and get school to even cash flow.
