South Louisiana” is a term that seems to get thrown around loosely. If you’re from Lake Charles or Mandeville for example, yes that’s technically located in South Louisiana. But culturally it’s not the same South Louisiana as Kaplan or Thibodaux.
Yea I agree with you here..
I’m from plaquemines parish so I guess you could say southEAST Louisiana

Just scanning over your posts on the first page of the thread and calling anyone else a "try-hard" is incredibly ironic.

if you draw an equilateral "triangle" on the state map starting at ellick and going to the heel on one side and the toe on the other, inside that triangle is where you'll most likely here the term baw bandied about on a regular basis, but more so on the western portion of the triangle

Explain… How am I being a try-hard? By NOT doing exactly what everyone else is doing? I’m not a cringe engineering baw with tree fiddy degrees from community college so you’re gonna have to explain this to me like I’m 5. No cap

Here again, there’s two cultures for SELA. You’ve got Hammond to Slidell then you’ve got Plaquemines parish. Two completely different cultures.

Beach Baws were way ahead of their time

My Lake Charles cousins used to laugh at me when I moved to Lafayette back in the 80's. They said we had an accent and would frequently say "Baw"....

tigerdroppings is notorious for taking something that's kinda chuckelworthy and running it so far into the ground it comes out on the other side of the earth. The "why you mad tho" era was about the worse and seemed like it'd never end but mercifully it finally fizzled out. Currently we're stuck in the "tell me you [something] without telling me you [something]" phase, although that seems to be dying down ever so slightly.
Basically, people do it because they think it's the funny cool popular thing to do and that by using it they'll gain favor from the internet strangers reading their post. Most don't realize that they sound like tryhard megadouches though. I'd guess one out of every ~100ish uses of baw on here actually has some humor behind it. The rest are just cringe.
why you mad tho?
