So fall semester is pretty much unchanged and spring is 48% funded but subject to change. Also see it's divided into 3 categories called opportunity, performance and honors.
So did they make any changes to the requirements to get to each of these levels? or did they just reduce what each level is worth? Looks like the latter to me.
Also, wasn't there some kinda stipend for books included as part of it?
TOPS
I have a scholarship that is directly linked to all this. Whatever TOPS gives, is what I'm supposed to get. Just trying to figure out what kinda check i'm gonna have to write, lol

The tops are usually the ones that are dominant in the relationship. They penetrate.

It's a really great program we had before electing our democrat governor.

Not really. It was never sustainable.

Pretty ugly. The bottom either stares at bedsheets or looks up at a big hairy bear dude. That's probably why I'm not gay.
I recommend becoming a top, but maybe if you have to ask it isn't cut out for you. Weird questions to be asking on here, btw.

Give me a break. We've all been clamoring for tops to up the requirements so that not every mouth breather gets to frick around for a year on the tax payer's dime before dropping out of LSU. The change was necessary. The point of the legislation was to keep the best and brightest here, not everyone who can derp their way into a 20 ACT score or whatever was required before the new legislation was passed.

The three categories are the different levels of TOPS and stipends.
Opportunity is the base TOPS award, Performance and Honors have stipends. No changes were made to the requirements for each level, but the stipends were also prorated at the same percentages (93.06 for Fall and 47.63 for spring) for the upcoming year. If you get a stipend, it is automatically built into the award total.
The TOPS amounts posted on the linked website are accurate for now. If additional state revenue is generated this Fall, the Spring amount could possibly increase.

Not really. It was never sustainable.
They got greedy AF, started jacking tuition to bleed TOPs dry and tried to get theirs before the other state schools and are a prime example of killing the golden goose.
Short sighted bureacrats are killing TOPs which was actuarially vetted as it was written.

but did they do that? looks to me like they just awarded the same criteria, but just less money

Everyone eligible for TOPS gets the basic opportunity award amount. The performance and honors awards are just extra stipends given to those with higher ACT scores. To get the honors award your ACT has to be a 27 or above. The requirements haven't changed, but the stipends went down as well as the basic opportunity award amount for the spring.
