The circuit breaker is the thing that will blow when you drop it in the bathtub. Not the extension cord.

Sounds like your business plan of selling curbside toast is really going to blow up.

If you use a short 10/3 extension cord you’ll be fine.

That’s pushing it.

1800W toaster is 15A @ 120V. Unless you purchased the cord and know the AWG, and it’s maximum ampacity, I would say no.

Advise that for all appliances with heating elements (toaster, hair dryer, etc) to never use an extension cord

To be fair it's a better question than his last thread which asked "Is it safe to use a countertop appliance on a countertop?".

Just don’t set it past 2 or if you do pop it early. You should be fine.

They make a nice battery powered toaster if this is a common need.

You seem to really be struggling with this toaster oven

Did you decide whether or not it was safe to put it on the Formica countertop??

I didn’t realize this was the same guy. Maybe toaster oven is a euphemism.

It's your place - man do it. Be sure to put the cord under a area rug as they are unsightly

Ummm not if it’s a cheap extension cord. You need a very low gauge extension cord to handle that wattage/amperage. I don’t you have that. You can buy one that can handle it, but you have to make sure the gauge of the wiring is good enough. As others said,12 at minimum for safety.

Just remember that gauge works in reverse order. In other words, lower handles more.
