I understand it’s capitalism and if you pay for advertising space, you get to show your content. But why are ads for The Exorcist and Saw X being shown during football games/programs?

I just came into the room to my 5 year old and 10 year old watching Gameday, and my 5 year old was in tears at the end of a commercial for Saw X.

Call me old fashioned but I don’t think images of a person being tortured with tubes shoved into his eyes should be part of the viewing experience for sporting events.

Keep the kid away from watching Arkansas limp into Ole Miss later for sure. It's going to be a blood bath as well.

Tell your 5 your old to toughen the fuxk up…he ain’t gonna get a scholarship to play at auburn worrying about his fricking feelings.

You need to step in and prolly ban your wife from the house for a week or so to toughen that kid up!!!

Na in all seriousness, those commercials have been like that for decades now. You just don’t remember, same as parents talking about todays music being so bad…

I guess I do remember seeing commercials for Hellraiser II when I was a kid. Maybe…not sure that was multiple times during a football game though.

5yo kids are not the target demo for sporting events and sports-related programming.

YouTube is bad about it too. Inappropriate ads all over kids videos.

Tell him/her that it scared me too and I’m… uh… slightly older

Seriously though, that shouldn’t have happened. We have to have some reasonable standards for this shite.

Speaking of advertising, blue chew missed a massive opportunity to advertise for the golden bachelor show.

That Exorcist commercial would scare the shite out of a kid. My wife won’t even watch it, and she’s almost 18.

Thought you were going to talk about all the disgusting prescription commercials. Or that pale fat bitch talking about flop sweat.

If it’s not an ad for aids pills or degenerate Hollywood slop it’s got to include obnoxious mumble rap that’s twice the volume of the game. These are the rules.

That Allstate old maid cat-lady tranny "it doesn't fit" commercial is disturbing. They play it 10 times a game.

We have to distract our three year old sometimes from trailers as well. He gets scared by that shite easily at this age and some of the commercials are a little…….intense.

What about the one with the lesbian shaving her pubes? There are no standards anymore.

The FCC once had (maybe still does) content rules prohibiting adult themes, protecting children, to be shown until after 9 p.m. or so. They don't apply to cable broadcasts.

Sorry your 5 year old saw that, it's difficulty nowadays to monitor and exclude those things from popping up at the most inappropriate times. Scary stuff for a little kid.

You're not old fashioned at all.
