I have a 650hp full sized luxury vehicle that you may not rent. Hope that helps.

Sounds like a fun vehicle.

Looks like you guys are confirming my suspicions that I’ll be taking this trip in my 201HP Camry.

If I had money, I'd tell you what I'd do. I'd go downtown, buy a Mercury or two. Crazy bout a Mercury

What about taxes?

An act of donation will eliminate your tax burden if you're to find a willing private seller.

Meh, I’m not sweating taxes, I know I could figure out solutions. It’s more about storing the vehicle and the hassles of going to get it, purchase process, sell process, etc. all for one road trip.

The ironic thing is whether you are talking about a 50s/60s or early 2000s Marauder your 4 cylinder Camry will not only be quicker but handle and brake better.

I will let him borrow one for .50/mile and whatever repairs need to be made.

Guaranteed to be about $10k for the trip.

I PROMISE you- you DO NOT want to take a 5000 mile road trip in a 50+ year old car.

No matter how cool you think that is now, it will be immediately obvious once you get about 50 miles down the interstate and all the fun wears off.

Additionally unfun will be when it breaks down and you have absolutely no idea or no one to fix it. No one keeps parts for a 1963 Maurauder on the shelf.

A surprisingly fun road trip vehicle.

Especially if you head to the desert.

friend of mine's father had one back in 70'...
could catch the tires on fire from a standing start...
Marauder X100 w/429 big block... 650 Holley...
it could be a bucket trip if you pull it off...
