Can feel myself about to get sick

I started feeling my throat swelling up this afternoon. I know that means I will soon be sick, lose my voice, and have trouble swallowing (pre-emptive “that’s what she said”). Any home remedies other than hot toddies, gargling, tea and honey, matzah ball soup, and STTD;B?

Man, I hate mucinex. Makes me feel like I’m super sick dizzy drunk if I can’t fall asleep before it kicks in or if I wake up before it wears off.

Zicam. We use the rapid melts but they are all good.
I started with the same thing last night. Immediately grabbed the zicam, hot tea/ honey, and alka seltzer cold.
Wife and daughter went to the Dr. today. Wifey has strep and an ear infection, baby girl has ear and sinus infection.
Getting to be that time of year folks.
