They (the county police) had to call a DPS Trooper in to administer the test and were shocked he failed me. They were ready to let me go and even told me to request their body cam footage to show my demeanor and lack of slurred speech or any other signs of intoxication.

Ah so they gave you the good cop bad cop play and you got a dui and still haven’t put it together?

There was an Alabama State Rep on the radio one morning and he said NEVER submit to a FS test. Decline all of it and go right to the blood test. Doesn't help you now but maybe someone reading this.

She's a good DUI attorney in the area. Go tomorrow to DPS and tell them you lost your license - just say you lost it and not say another thing. It shouldn't process fast enough and you will get a legit new license which eventually will be suspended. The reason you want that is because when you get your occupational it will be stamped as such. You can't really rent a car and it is obviously embarrassing to have it whenever someone asks for ID. The license number is the same so when somebody asks for ID you give them that one and not the occupational. Also, when/if you beat the rap you already have a valid license as DPS just makes it valid in the system.

While the hell couldn't the county cops administer a field sobriety test?

Are you saying a blood test wouldn’t have picked up a dosage of alprazolam the next day? I beg to differ.

I'm saying a blood test would be able to differentiate between xanax metabolites and xanax you were or weren't under the influence of at the time.

Not sounding disrespectful, but you probably will beat the charge but not the ride obviously. If what you say is true and I have no reason not to believe you , your going to be ok in the end

I know I’ll be ok but I work in O&G and and DUI will prevent me from getting jobs for the rest of my life. If I have to hire fricking Dick Deguerin to beat this bullshite I will; because whether all these fricks on here on their high horses believe it or not, it was a bullshite charge.

Same principle I guess but I don't know how admin suspension works if you if you have an LA license. You want a Bexar county lawyer for sure though who knows the system, because that is where you case will be handled.

I asked for counsel before agreeing to a blood test, counsel never came. Why would I give the police evidence of things I may have done weeks ago to support their case of driving while intoxicated?

You do know drugs do not stay in your blood for weeks right? I saw benzos mentioned and they only stay in blood up to 24 hrs.

If you had not had a drink, you should have given the blood and not had to deal with this hassle you're about to go through.
